Posting Your Resume and Finding a Job on Craigslist
70
The job market may be tough, but you can still market yourself as a qualified candidate for a job by posting an ad on Craigslist. The more popular sites used to be Careerbuilder and Monster, but with more and more employers seeking to also lower their hiring costs, they're also now resorting to lower fees on Craigslist to post their job ads. If they're posting they're also seeking, this where you benefit.
I know this first hand when I began looking for a job. I posted my resume on the 2 websites; Careerbuilder and Monster. Monster was the more polished, very thorough and colorful one, while Careerbuilder was user-friendly and one I'd used before. I only received one call from Monster and a few emails and calls from Careerbuilder. My husband had found a job from posting his resume on Craigslist and urged me to do the same. Shortly thereafter, sure enough I began getting more calls and emails.
I do have to warn you that you may get unsolicited and spam emails, but among some of those is a bonafide job offer waiting.
What you'll need is a craigslist account and an updated resume.
